About Doug Hall:

Since 1997 when I started the W D Hall Company, I’ve been working with Business Owners of companies that are growing or that want to grow.

For eleven years before that, I was the owner of the Hall Southwest Corporation, an environmental and engineering consulting firm with offices in Austin, Dallas and Midland, Texas. We provided a broad range of field services and regulatory support to large industrial, commercial and municipal clients.

In 2010, I added Clean Water Strategies (CWS) to the W D Hall Company portfolio. The mission of CWS is to “stretch out” clean water supplies in Texas. We deal with the issues of too much and not enough water for industrial, municipal and agricultural uses. Our ongoing market intelligence results in actionable information for our clients. We organize and facilitate our investigations to identify reasonable and economic solutions. Clean Water Strategies is now a marketing resource for the W D Hall Company

I’ve been in the private sector most of the time since I graduated from the University of Texas with a Masters Degree in 1974. My positions and responsibilities have included: staff hydrogeologist, project manager, field services manager, senior hydrogeologist / operations manager, research scientist, corporate marketing manager, technology commercialization manager, entrepreneur, business owner, and independent business consultant. For a few years in the mid 90’s, I had a vineyard near Fredericksburg, Texas. That career ended when the goats ate my grapes!

Over the past 35 years, I have started, built, sold, acquired and merged services firms. I understand what it is like to be responsible for a business 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. I believe my hands-on experience and success with my own businesses differentiate me from most other business consultants, advisors, mentors, counselors and coaches.
